Structural Analysis of Cyclicscape (Mariko Mori) in New York

AR2V Ingeniería performed a structural analysis of Cyclicscape is a Mariko Mori´s collection of 8 sculptures. We worked with several Finite Element Models (MEF) as well as "artisanal" calculations to analyze any possible affectation to the equilibrium or structural integrity of the piece.

AR2V INGENIERÍA performed detailed analysis of the foundations and connections of the sculptures and established the width of the aluminum shell in order for the system to withstand the expected environmental loads and hazards.

Made in aluminum casting, combine lightness and rigidity. With different shapes but sharing a common factor: they all develop as a curved band that embraces itself to fill the space.
