Galecopper bridge renovation in Utrech, The Netherlands

This cable stayed bridge, 320 m long and 70 m wide, crosses the Rhine-Amsterdam Canal spanning 180 m. It carries 12 traffic lanes linking one of the most heavily loaded motorways in the country. The orthotropic steel deck shows severe fatigue damage, so a renovation project is being conducted. The strengthening of the structure will also include widening of the deck to allow for one more lane per track.
