Las Jerónimas´s convent rehabilitation

AR2V studied in this project of rehabilitation the feasibility of changing the use of the slabs of the Las Jerónimas convent in order to reconvert it into an educational institution.

We checked the structure´s capacity according to the new loads to be supported, as well as the actual code. We concluded that the slab was unable to support the loads, which required reinforcement.

AR2V offered to partially take advantage of the existing slab (the compression layer and its reinforcements) by reinforced or post-tensioned concrete screeds.
